David is a former journalist and the author of three novels, ‘Bed’ (Canongate 2011) winner of the Betty Trask Prize, ‘Mobile Library’ (Picador 2015) winner of the Jerwood Fiction Prize and ‘The Long Forgotten’ (Picador 2018).

His first non-fiction book, ‘About A Son’, will be published by Orion in 2022. He has a number of TV projects in development and has written scripts for Channel 4, ITV, Sky and FX.
